About Heavy Duty Deer Fence

The Heavy Duty deer fence included in this kit is a great option for homeowners and for areas with light to moderate deer pressure.  Lasts 10-15 years.  

At 7.5’ finished height, this fencing is tall enough to discourage curious or hungry deer. Because of eye placement and vision, fencing at this height and above is difficult for a deer to judge. Generally cautious and nature a deer will rarely try to jump a fence above a 7.5’ finished height unless spooked or in flight.  

Armed with a 700# breaking strength, this fencing will withstand attempts from most deer to gain entry. Most deer will not actually try to break through a deer fence; their nature is to attempt to go under a fence or around your perimeter instead.

Engineered to be both durable and unobtrusive, Heavy Duty deer fencing utilizes color and mesh size to make the deer fencing as invisible as possible. The mesh size is approximately 2” x 2” made from carbon black polypropylene. The grid pattern and dark color allow the eye to look past and through the fencing, maintaining your view while providing top-notch protection.

How the Sleeved Post System Works

Designed by DeerBusters for extra strength and stability, the system is highlighted by our 30” tapered ground sleeve for easy driving. 30” is deep enough to get below the frost line in most areas, preventing shifting and moving of the posts after installation.

Permanently install sleeves at ground level, and slide the line posts into the sleeves. The resulting post will be the perfect height out of the ground for your fencing installation.

As a bonus, this makes the posts and entire fence removable when not in use.

A Note about corners & ends:

We always recommend corners and ends for complete installation, but for smaller enclosures of less than 330’ they are not always required. Adding corner and end bracing will make your fence stronger and look nicer. If purchasing multiple kits or for enclosures over 330’ corners and ends should be used.
