Best Parks Of Canada

Posted by Jennifer Smith on 9th Jul 2019

As of 2018 there are 39 National Parks and eight National Park Reserves, covering an area of approximately 328,198 km2 (126,718 sq mi), or about 3.3% of the total land area of Canada, and representing 30 of the 39 natural regions. Last year, the national parks in Canada brought in approximately 16 million visitors compared to the 330 million tourists that come to U.S. national parks.

Regardless of the numbers, the rich landscapes and an abundance of wildlife make Canada one of the best countries to explore nature, historical landmarks and breathtaking views. Here is a brief list of some of the most beautiful parks in Canada:

  • Banff National Park
  • Jasper Park
  • Pacific Rim National Park
  • Yoho National Park
  • Prince Edward Island Park
  • Mingan Archipelago
  • Ivvavik National Park
  • Point Pelee National Park
  • Prince Albert National Park
  • Waterton Lakes National Park
  • Wapusk National Park

National parks are affordable and fun things to do for families and adventure seekers. From swimming holes and hiking trails to rock formations and battlefields, Visiting Canada's national parks should be on the list of things to do this summer.
