In the past few years, apps have become increasingly popular. And we are not talking about appetizers—although, those are great too! I am talking about phone apps. Today, I can safely say that you could find an app for just about anything. Most of us have apps for social media, weather, news, notes, workouts, banking and so on.Did you know there are apps for gardening too? I decided to do a little digging (pun intended). During my search, I found incredibly useful apps that will enhance your gardening experience.

   1.Garden Answers

You know that plant in your backyard that you always see, but can't quite pinpoint what it is? The Garden Answers app will tell you! All you have to do is snap a picture and the app will do the rest. The photo goes through the database and identifies the plant. The app will also share basic care tips about the plant! This is a free app, however, if you want to reach out to a horticulturalist with more details about the plant, there is a small fee.

   2.Garden Journal at Territorial Seed

This app is pretty cool. If you are anything like me, you NEED everything organized and concise. What most people don’t realize is that there is a lot of planning that goes into gardening. And honestly, who can remember when they planted what and if it has been fertilized and where everything was planted? I know I can’t! This app allows you to keep track of all of that! Any issues with your plant? Don’t worry! It has you covered. What makes this app unique is that (for a small monthly fee) you can draw out your garden plots, receive planting reminders AND interact with other gardeners!

   3. Garden Manager

This app is a virtual gardening coach so you can spend less time Googling and more time focusing on your garden. This coach creates a plan catered to you and your garden space while highlighting what you can grow where, when, and next to what. Since this app is connected to the local weather, it can give you advice on what to do with your plants if a storm is brewing or how much water to give your plants on a SUPER hot day. This app is a guide to help you thrive! There are 3-levels of subscriptions based on the guidance you need to help plant the perfect garden!
